제주이주여성상담소는 9월1일(목) 취약계층 이주여성을 위한 ‘여름 김장 담그기’ 행사를 진행하였다.
이주여성들도 좋아하는 김치를 겨울에만 '김장담그기'를 한다는 고정관념에서 탈피해
새로움을 주는 의미와 취약계층 이주여성들을 응원하며 행사를 진행하게 되었다.
이 행사는 제주농협여성책임자모임 “한란회(회장 김연희)”와 NH은행 제주영업본부(본부장 문상철)의 후원을 받음과 동시에
현장에 직접 참여하여 지지와 응원의 인사말을 전달해주었고 한란회 회원들은 직접 팔을 걷어 붙여 김장담그기 봉사를 했다.
아울러 제주이주여성상담소 ‘제주이주의 꿈’ 자원봉사단(단장 부혜성)을 필두로 함께 만든 김치는
65여명의 사각지대에 있는 이주여성과 폭력피해이주여성에게 나누어 주었다.
김치 만들기 장소는 제주성안교회(류정길 담임목사)에서 적극 제공해 주었다.

‘Summer Kimchi Making for Vulnerable Migrant Women’
Jeju Counseling Center for Women Migrant’s held the ‘Summer Kimchi Making’
event for migrant women from the vulnerable class on Thursday, September 1.
Breaking away from the stereotype of 'making kimchi' only in winter for kimchi, which migrant women also like,
the event was held to give new meaning and to support migrant women from the vulnerable class.
This event was sponsored by the Jeju Agricultural Cooperative Women Managers Association
“Hallanhwe (Chairman Kim Yeon-hee)” and NH Bank Jeju Sales Headquarters (Director Moon Sang-cheol),
and at the same time directly participated in the site and delivered greetings of support and support.

In addition, kimchi made with the Jeju Counseling Center for Women Migrant's,
'Jeju Migrant's Dream' Volunteer Team (Director Hye-seong Bu),
was distributed to about 65 migrant women and migrant women who were victims of violence.
The place to make kimchi was actively provided by Jeju Seongan Church (Lead Pastor Ryu Jeong-gil).
